FileSafety offers four plans to match your scanning volume. Every plan includes all scan types at no extra cost — scan types are automatically determined based on file size.

What is included in every plan
Section titled “What is included in every plan”Regardless of which plan you choose, you get:
- Malware detection — Multi-engine threat detection with millions of signatures, updated multiple times per day
- Content analysis (images) — Automated content identification across nudity, violence, and suggestive content categories
- Content analysis (text) — Toxicity detection, PII identification, and sentiment analysis
- File deduplication — Instant cached results for previously scanned files
- Webhook delivery — Automatic result delivery to your endpoint with retry
- Presigned URL uploads — Browser-friendly upload flow
- Dashboard access — Real-time usage monitoring, API key management, and billing controls
- API access — Full access to all API endpoints
There are no per-feature add-ons. Scan types are automatically determined based on file size — no configuration needed. See POST /v1/scan for the file size thresholds.
Overage pricing
Section titled “Overage pricing”When you exceed your plan’s monthly quota:
- Free plan: Scan requests are blocked with a
429 Quota Exceedederror. No overage is possible. - Paid plans: Scans continue without interruption. Each additional scan beyond the quota is billed at $0.01 per scan as overage.
Overage charges are calculated at the end of the billing period and added to your next invoice.

If you consistently exceed your quota by more than 20%, consider upgrading to the next tier — the included quota is significantly cheaper than overage pricing.
Getting started
Section titled “Getting started”- Sign up at filesafety.dev/dashboard — you start on the free plan automatically
- To upgrade, go to Dashboard and click Upgrade
- Select your plan and billing frequency (monthly or annual)
- Enter payment details via Stripe’s secure checkout
Your new quota takes effect immediately upon upgrade.
